More about ShaneQuestions people ask
What does a webmaster actually do?
A webmaster keeps a website working and current: software updates, security patches, backups, uptime monitoring, fixing what breaks and making the changes you ask for. We also handle what a Canadian site needs on top of that, like accessibility, cookie consent and French. Think of it as an IT person just for your website.
Do you work with businesses outside Ontario?
Yes, anywhere in Canada. Almost everything happens over email, video calls and shared staging links. We are based in Caledonia, Ontario, so we work on Eastern time and can meet in person in southern Ontario when it helps.
Can you take over a site someone else built?
Usually, yes. We start with a review of the code, hosting, plugins and access, then tell you plainly what shape it is in. Sites in rough shape get a one-time cleanup quote before joining a care plan, so you are not paying monthly to maintain problems.
How much does a website cost in Canada?
Most small business sites we build land between $4,000 and $9,000 CAD before tax, brochure sites less, and larger sites or stores more. Care plans run $149 to $749 a month. Try the cost calculator for your own estimate.
